都在操偶師的掌中 栩栩如生 翩然靈動
舞台上的華麗演出 背後工程是那些雕刻戲偶的手
在布袋戲的全盛時期
徐炎卿(製偶工藝師)是個非常重要的名字
他曾經和布袋戲大師黃俊雄合作
參與過史艷文、藏鏡人等
知名布袋戲角色的雕刻製作
成為許多台灣人年輕時的重要回憶
徐依娑(長女 偶的家戲偶文創園區):
爸爸小時候非常喜歡看布袋戲表演
因為家裡對面剛好是一間廟
廟有熱鬧 就會看到很多布袋戲團
在廟的前面做一些演出
有一天就異想天開 他自己試著做看看
在他十四歲那一年 他刻出的偶頭
請表演布袋戲團的師父來幫他看一下
師傅覺得作品他很喜歡
甚至願意花錢幫他買下來
這個對他的能力 也是一個很大的肯定
他就決定立志要成為一個刻偶師
從廟宇戲台到電視
再到走出國際市場的霹靂布袋戲
時光流轉中
徐家一手製偶的好功夫
也由第二代傳承下來
走出了不一樣的路
一尊戲偶的製作 從選木開始
歷經繁複工序方可完成

我們刻出它的細胚
細胚對雕刻師來講
是一個最重要的環節
他必須將雕刻的部分全部完成
館內收藏的偶
小至3吋、大至250公分

讓更多年輕的下一代小朋友 認識我們台灣的布袋戲文化
所以很多學校團體來到這裡 我們除了讓他參觀這邊的展覽場
為了讓小朋友印象能夠更深刻 而且增加趣味性
所以來這裡的小朋友 還有一個更有趣的活動
就是布袋戲的DIY彩繪活動
細細鑿刻精心雕琢
灌注其中的
是一代一代薪火相傳的生命力
讓傳統延續 讓文化新生
